Frances (Terrio) Legere passes away at age 108

It is with sadness that we learn of the passing of Frances (Terrio) Legere, one of Cumberland County’s oldest residents.

CCGS was honoured to have had the opportunity to interview Mrs. Legere for our Down Memory Lane series of seniors’ interviews.

The Annual General Meeting of the Cumberland County Cumberland County Genealogical Society will hold it's Annual General Meeting on Wendsday, November 20, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. in the Francis Smith room at the Amherst Police Department,21 Havelock St, Amherst, NS .

The speaker for this event will be Courtney Mrazek who is the current W.P. Bell Postdoctoral Fellow in the Canadian Studies Department at Mount Allison University. Her topic: "A Matter of Life and Breath: Patient Trends at the Nova Scotia Sanatorium and the Jordan Memorial Sanatorium."

Everyone is welcome.

Please join us for an interesting lecture, a 50/50 draw, and refreshments on November 20th.
